Dear Friends,
ERA Global was due as I am sure you will know, to hold its European Conference this June in the wonderful city of Amsterdam. I must now inform you that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Board has decided to postpone the Amsterdam conference until June 2022.
At the start of this year, we were very optimistic that with the covid vaccination programmes beginning, the June conference would go ahead. However, as we know, the virus is still highly prevalent and it is almost certain that significant restrictions will still be in place in the Netherlands this June which will make running a large event inadvisable, if not impossible.
Whilst we are very sad indeed that we shall not be meeting in Amsterdam this June, we are putting huge energy into preparations for our very first US conference, September 20 – 22, The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas. We believe it is very likely that this event will be safe to go ahead. We will start with the registration very soon and we encourage those of you hoping to attend to register on our website.
Las Vegas should be truly spectacular, and we plan to hold the 2021 EMMAs there, the ‘Oscars’ of the multi-channel home shopping industry. The gathering could be particularly special after such a long period without our global industry being able to meet.
ERA Global shall be offering full refunds for any payments made to the Association by those planning to be in Amsterdam. Meanwhile we’d love to see you online at one of our forthcoming digital events. In particular we would like to invite you to our Digital Week April 19th – 23rd.
